4G and Beyond Workshop

Thursday, November 29, 2012 -
09:00 to 17:00
Amphi Janet, Supélec, Gif-sur-Yvette, France.

Common predictions show that by 2015 the traffic traversing the access segment (both wireless and wired) will be 25-30 times larger than today. Extrapolating this trend to 2020 would yield a thousand-fold increase in traffic. Meeting this demand, with today’s wireless and fixed broadband access network solutions, require new system architectures taking into account several factors such as power consumption, operationnal costs, availability of backhauling/spectrum, etc. French ICTcluster Systematic Paris Region (http://www.systematic-paris-region.org/fr) organizes on November 29 in Supelec a workshop entitled  4G and beyond. The Objective of this dissemination event is to invite European and National research projects dedicated to future wireless networks to present their objectives, approaches and results, and to foster further interactions in the research community. Attendees will be academic and industrial R&D people (large companies and SMEs), standard bodies/industry alliance representatives, and public authorities representatives. The workshop is FREE but places are limited. The deadline for registration is until the 15th of November.
